Direct Primary Care Membership in Fargo, ND: Unlimited Visits, Transparent Pricing, Wholesale Labs and Meds

Direct primary care membership overview at Resurgent Health Fargo

A Membership That Puts Your Primary Care Back in Your Corner

Flat monthly fee, no copays, direct access to your provider

Resurgent Health is North Dakota's first Direct Primary Care clinic. Instead of billing insurance for every visit, we ask our patients to pay a flat monthly membership. That single change unlocks a different kind of medicine: longer visits, same-day and next-day access, wholesale pricing on labs and medications, and a doctor who has the time to know you and your family. Insurance stays in your wallet for what it does best (hospital care, specialists, and emergencies), while your primary care runs on a relationship instead of a claim form.

Our membership is designed to work for real life in Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, and Horace. It covers unlimited visits with Dr. Kristine Martens, DO or Aly Dahl, PA-C, in-office procedures at wholesale cost, point-of-care testing while you wait, therapeutic and vitamin injections, and comprehensive lab work at direct-to-patient cash pricing. You can find out more about in-office procedures for members, point-of-care testing in Fargo, ND, or lab work and blood tests in Fargo, ND.

Frequently Asked Questions About DPC Membership

What is direct primary care?

Direct primary care (DPC) is a membership model where you pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to your primary care provider, instead of your insurance being billed for every visit. Members get longer visits, direct messaging, wholesale pricing on labs and medications, and same-day or next-day appointments.

How is DPC different from concierge medicine?

Concierge practices usually charge a much higher annual retainer and still bill your insurance for visits. DPC is a lower flat monthly fee, does not bill insurance for our services, and passes the wholesale cost of labs and medications directly to you.

Do I still need health insurance?

Yes. DPC is not insurance and does not replace it. You should keep insurance (or a health-share plan) for hospitalizations, emergencies, specialists, imaging, and surgery. Many members pair DPC with a high-deductible plan.

How much does DPC membership cost at Resurgent Health?

Membership is billed monthly and priced by age band. Contact us at (701) 599-3950 or through the Meet & Greet form for current pricing. There are no visit copays and no per-visit fees on top of your membership.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for DPC?

In most cases yes, but tax treatment of DPC membership fees continues to evolve. We recommend confirming with your HSA/FSA administrator or accountant before enrolling.

What if I move or leave the practice?

You can cancel your membership at any time. Your medical record is yours; we will send a copy to your next provider on request.

How do I get started?

Book a Meet & Greet visit. There is no obligation. You will meet Dr. Martens or Aly and ask any questions you have before deciding to enroll.

Do members get virtual or telehealth visits?

Yes. Virtual and telehealth visits are included with your membership. Many concerns, follow-ups, medication adjustments, lab reviews, and quick questions, can be handled by secure video or phone, so you get your provider's time without the trip to the clinic. When an in-person exam is needed, we'll have you come in.

What is a discovery call, and is it a medical appointment?

A discovery call is a no-obligation conversation to learn how Direct Primary Care membership works and whether it's the right fit for you and your family. It is not a medical visit, it's your chance to ask questions about the membership before you join. You can book one anytime by calling (701) 599-3950.

Can I be seen for a one-time visit?

Our model is built on membership, so we do not offer one-time visits for primary care. Osteopathic manipulative therapy, aesthetics and medical weight loss are available to non-members. If you want ongoing primary care, book a Meet & Greet and we'll walk you through how membership works.

Can I be a member if I have Medicare?

Yes. Medicare patients are welcome. Federal rules mean we cannot bill Medicare for your membership, so the monthly fee is paid directly by you, and you keep Medicare for hospital care, specialists, imaging and prescriptions outside our clinic.

What if I have Medicaid? Can I be a member?

North Dakota Medicaid rules restrict what we can charge Medicaid enrollees, so we are not able to enroll Medicaid patients in the membership. Call the clinic and we will help you find an option that fits.

Why would I go to a clinic that doesn't take health insurance?

Because removing insurance from primary care removes what makes it rushed. No billing codes means no 10-minute visit limit, no copays, no surprise bills, and appointments long enough to actually solve things. You keep insurance for everything outside our clinic.

I have great insurance coverage - does membership still make sense for me?

Often yes. Great coverage still buys you the same short, hard-to-book visits. Membership buys time and access: same-day and next-day appointments, direct contact with your clinician, and wholesale pricing on labs and medications that frequently beats a copay.

What about lab work?

Members get lab work at our wholesale cost, which is usually a fraction of hospital pricing. Common panels are drawn in the clinic and results are reviewed with you directly rather than left in a portal.

What about imaging like X-rays and MRI scans?

Imaging is done outside our clinic. We order it, help you find the best cash or insurance price locally, and review the results with you. Membership does not cover the cost of the scan itself.

How many patients will Resurgent Health accept?

Panels are deliberately capped so each clinician keeps enough time per patient. That means membership can close to new patients when a panel is full, and joining a waitlist is sometimes the next step.

Once I enroll, when do the monthly membership charges begin?

Billing starts when your membership starts, and it runs monthly from that date. There is no enrollment fee and no contract - you can cancel if it isn't working for you.

What forms of payment do you accept, and can I use my HSA or FSA?

We accept credit and debit cards and bank transfer, billed automatically each month. Most members are able to use HSA or FSA funds for the membership fee, but confirm with your plan administrator, since eligibility rules vary.

Start With a Discovery Call

A conversation about the membership - not a medical appointment

Before you join, we set aside time to walk you through how Direct Primary Care works at Resurgent Health: what your membership includes, what it costs, how you reach your clinician between visits, and whether it fits your family.

Discovery calls are run by our nursing team, and they are not a medical visit. We will not diagnose, examine or treat on the call. Bring your questions about the membership - your health concerns are for your first visit as a member, when your clinician has the time to do them justice.
